Hire Dylan Taylor for guided off-piste skiing and ski mountaineering - accepting bookings for the 2011 winter/spring season!

Skiing in Europe is unique - some ski tours cover three countries in one day, or three languages in one week. Lift access makes reaching asthetic terrain easy. Public transportation makes getting back to your home base easy and comfortable. A guide helps make negotiating crevassed glacial terrain and a suspicious snowpack a lot safer and more enjoyable.
I offer three types of ski guiding services:
- Guided off-piste skiing - aka "freeriding": Ride the lift up and ski the "pentes raides" (steep slopes) back down. The emphasis is on the quality of descent. We might descend the 6000 vertical foot Vallee Blanche, or something steeper, like the 45° couloir du cosmiques.
- Guided multi-day ski tours: The most famous 1-week tour is probably the Chamonix-Zermatt Haute Route, but that's only scratching the surface. 1-week tours through spectacular terrain exist in the Bernese oberland, Queyras, Ortler, Silveretta, and countless other places. If you are looking for somewhere new to go, contact me for suggestions.
- Ski-mountaineering instruction: Do you need to freshen up on your ski mountaineering skills? We can work on polishing your kick-turn skills, make you an expert at crevasse rescue, improve your jump-turns in steep couloirs, or help you with route-finding in avalanche terrain.
